I watched a video the other night with Frankl Shamrock and Cung Lee, it was where Frank got his him arm broke....the fight to me looked as if neither fighter fought before, maybe it is my ignorance that I do not know much about the ELITE XC rules but they would get a take down and or a throw and back off the guy...is there no ground and pound in this? Both fighters were just leg kicks and mediocre striking...i'm not the best fighter in the world but definately this was not a performance I was used to seeing from frank back in his UFC days either.

dude this was an awesome fucking fight it was one of the most anticipated MMA fights in along time and i think everyone could agree that it was awesome Shamrock suffered a broken arm and had to get staples in his head due to Cung's repeated high kicks!! And even Cung was rocked at one point he even said he was seeing stars and was about to go down! And its Cung Le with one E homie

Frank wanted to stand up and infact said he was going to stand up and knock out Cung Lee. Both fighters are awesome but. Franks head gets little large sometimes. If a excellant striker says to me. Stand and fight. If I was grappler then I would take him down and prove my game is better then his and I am not fighting his game. I will win by my game.

If that was mediocre striking, then I can only wonder how you classify other fighters' stand up games.

i have to agree with the crowd. that was a class act good fight. both fighters wanted to strike it out and thats what they did. even with the shit talking in the cage they both highly respected each other and showed it.

strategy is the craft of the warrior not stupidity. its stupid to under estimate your opposition. they didn't under estimate each other and played a great chess match in my opinion.

maybe a good fight for ya is people swinging buck wild throwin hay makers and what not with no restraint, timing, accuracy, to sum it all up people fighting with no skill?

frank tried to beat cung le at his own game (stand up) . He lost. had he went for more takedowns and got it to the ground the outcome may have been different but I havnt seen enough of cung's ground game. The fact is you have 2 guys who respect the other fighter abilitys. I bet most people who try to stand with cung or frank look mediocre....but a bad fight come on man

I think both fighters gave a stellar performance, This was a fast paced, brutal war, Frank said before the fight he was gonna stand with Cung and he did,I dont know if that was a good decision on his part but they fought a fucking war!!!!
